Hi! My name is Mikaela, and I am currently a primary school teacher. This blog was created to help educate the parents and caregivers of my students about the importance of safe, ethical and responsible use of ICT outside the classroom in accordance with AITSL’s focus area 4.5 as well as the ICT General Capability located on the Australian Curriculum website.
Throughout this blog, I will be discussing the importance of cyber safety through talking about what cyberbullying is, the importance of digital information security and how your child can be made more aware of how to be a positive digital citizen.
Hopefully through this blog, I will be able to assist you with some tips and ideas about how to encourage and educate cyber safety at home.
