Cyberbullying is a serious issue within the school environment. According to the i-SAFE foundation over 25% of teens have been bullied repeatedly through the internet nor do half of teenagers being cyberbullied tell their parents. It is important at home to understand the signs of cyberbully to help your child from experiencing it or being involved in it. Cyberbullying.org have a list of tips that are directly aimed at teenagers on how to prevent cyberbullying, if you wish to view these tips, click here. Alternatively, if your child is a victim of cyberbullying, here are some tips to responding.
If you have encountered that your child is being cyberbullied, there are some steps you can take to control the issue. Some of these include;
Keeping a record of the harassment messages.
Learn to block the bully on the service.
Closely monitor your child’s use of ICT
