The Task

This semester our class will be studying a series of novels that deal with teenage issues such as depression, racism and bullying. Over the two terms, the students will be linking these novels to the use of ICT, such as creating blogs, websites, social media accounts, etc. that focus on a theme from the novels. The tasks directly link with ACARA’s ICT general capabilities for English in Year 10.

Whilst the class are looking through these novels and working together to understand the issues, it is important at home, students are aware of the safety that needs to be addressed when using ICT. This includes Cyber Safety and Digital Information Security as well as the impacts of cyberbullying and the digital footprint that they leave.
